India's space agency, ISRO, is preparing its Chandrayaan-3 mission for a big moment: a landing on the Moon's unexplored south pole on Wednesday evening. If successful, India will be the first country to touch down in this area. The landing part is tricky. It's often called "17 minutes of terror" because the spacecraft has to land by itself. It needs to start its engines at the right time, avoid obstacles on the Moon, and use fuel correctly. Before the landing, ISRO will send commands to the spacecraft from its base at Byalalu to help it land safely.
