The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has announced that its latest lunar mission, Chandrayaan-3, is on track for a soft-landing on the Moon's surface by August 23. The spacecraft has successfully reached closer to the Moon, marking a significant milestone in India's space exploration endeavors. Launched on July 14, Chandrayaan-3's Lander Module (LM) successfully separated from the Propulsion Module last Thursday, 35 days after the mission's launch. ISRO confirmed that it had successfully reduced the orbit of the Lander Module on Sunday, positioning it for the landing phase. India's third lunar mission is geared to explore the uncharted south pole of the lunar surface, and the upcoming landing represents an exciting step forward in uncovering new scientific insights about our nearest celestial neighbor.
