Chief Minister K Chandra Sekhar Rao, commonly referred to as KCR, stated that Congress granted statehood to Telangana only out of necessity and compulsion. Speaking in the Telangana Assembly, KCR argued that Congress never truly supported the desires of the Telangana people. KCR also discussed political events from the era of the late Chief Minister YS Rajasekhar Reddy. He touched on the political trajectory of CM YS Jagan, highlighting his departure from Congress and the establishment of a new party. KCR emphasized YS Jagan's impressive victory in the Kadapa parliamentary seat by a margin of over 400,000 votes after facing challenges from Congress. In his remarks, KCR also took the opportunity to humorously critique Congress's political relevance since 2014.
