New Delhi: Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi paid a visit to Azadpur Mandi, one of Asia's largest vegetable wholesale markets, in response to the alarming surge in vegetable prices. Arriving at the market in north Delhi around 4 a.m., he engaged in interactions with the vegetable sellers to understand the challenges they are facing. This visit comes at a time when vegetable prices are skyrocketing, with some varieties selling at over Rs 100 per kilogram and tomatoes reaching a staggering price of over Rs 200 per kg in certain areas of the national capital.
