Tirupati: A major accident occurred during the construction of the Srinivasa Setu flyover in Tirupati, resulting in the death of two workers. The incident happened when the last cement segment was being laid at Reliance Mart, and the segment fell due to crane wire failure. The deceased have been identified as Avijit from West Bengal and Bardomandal from Bihar. Tirupati MLA Bhumana Karunakar Reddy expressed deep sadness over the tragedy and assured government support for the families of the victims. The flyover's completion, expected in a week, has been marred by this devastating incident. Authorities are investigating the cause of the crane malfunction.
