Over 60 political parties gathered for separate meetings organized by the Opposition and the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) on July 18. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) asserted that more than 30 political parties participated in their grand NDA meeting held in New Delhi. On the other hand, the Opposition stated that their mega meeting in Bengaluru had the presence of 26 parties. However, with the 2024 elections looming, several influential political parties including BRS, MIM remain undecided and have yet to align themselves with either faction. Approximately nine major political parties have chosen to adopt a neutral stance for now, positioning themselves as fence-sitters.
