The Delhi High Court granted Raghav Magunta, son of YSR Congress Party MP Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy, interim bail on medical grounds in a money laundering case related to an excise scam. Justice Dinesh Kumar Sharma directed him to make appearances before ED officials in either Chennai or Delhi as and when needed. Magunta must stay in Chennai, reporting to ED officials every Tuesday and Friday at 4 pm. Leaving India without trial court permission is prohibited, and he must surrender his passport before the trial court. The bail won't set a precedent. The case involves alleged excise policy modifications and favors to license holders, with Manish Sisodia, a senior AAP leader, also accused and currently in jail.
