TPCC President Revanth Reddy accused the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) government of Telangana of embezzling Rs 8,000 crore under the pretense of providing free power to farmers. In a press conference held at his residence in Jubilee Hills, Revanth Reddy stated that the promise of "Free power to farmers" in Telangana was nothing more than a slogan. He alleged that the BRS party deliberately manipulated a video of their explanation on government policies during a meet and greet event in America, misleading the public. Revanth Reddy further criticized Chief Minister KCR, holding him responsible for the tragic incidents that occurred during the electricity movement, which led to the loss of farmers' lives. He revealed that while the government claimed to have spent Rs 16,000 crore on free electricity, the reality was that only small and marginal farms received eight hours of power supply. In contrast, BRS MLAs and leaders claimed that agricultural lands and farms enjoyed 10 to 12 hours
