Razole: Alluri Krishnam Raju, the former MLA from Dr. B.R. Ambedkar's Konaseema district, Razole constituency, passed away on Wednesday due to age-related ailments in an apartment in Madhapur, Hyderabad. He was 83. Krishnam Raju served as a legislator from Razole from 2004 to 2009. In 1999, he contested as a Congress party candidate but was defeated by AV Suryanarayana Raju of the TDP. However, he contested again in 2004 and defeated Suryanarayana Raju. He was associated with the YSR Congress party. His wife, Malleshwari, presently serves as a member of the TTD board. The couple has a son, Srinivas Raju, and two daughters, Krishna Kumari and Vijaya. Their son has established himself in the field of business and industry.
