Since its inauguration on November 29, 2017, the Hyderabad Metro has become an integral part of the city's transportation system, catering to an average daily ridership of approximately 490,000 passengers. With this consistent growth, Metro Rail MD NVS Reddy confidently predicts that the number of passengers will soon surpass the half-million mark. According to recent data released by the central government, the average daily ridership of metro systems across the country is approximately 670,000 people. Out of this staggering figure, 140,000 individuals are employees of the IT and IT allied sectors, highlighting the importance of metro connectivity for the thriving technology industry. Additionally, the data reveals that around 120,000 students rely on metro services to commute to their educational institutions.
