A prominent school in Hyderabad is facing intense criticism and a thorough police investigation following a distressing incident where a Class XI student was electrocuted on its premises. The incident occurred earlier this week during the lunch break, leaving the student hospitalized with severe burns covering over 50 percent of his body. The victim, identified as Hasan, began his first day of Class XI at the renowned Meridian School in Banjara Hills. However, what should have been an exciting new chapter turned into a devastating tragedy when Hasan accidentally came into contact with an unfenced, high-voltage transformer located near a construction site within the school grounds. Hasan's parents, devastated by the incident, have accused the school administration of negligence and promptly lodged a complaint with the Banjara Hills police. As a result, an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident is currently underway.
