Guntur: In an unusual discovery, numerous snake god idols have been found in the upper region of the Krishna River, within the Thadepalli district's Seethanagaram area, Guntur. The sudden appearance of these idols has left locals puzzled, leading to a flurry of speculation about their origin and how they ended up in the river. Questions abound as to whether these statues belong to the current period or a historical era. Discussions are also happening on whether the statues were deliberately placed here or whether they are damaged idols from a shrine that might have been washed up. Uncertainty remains over whether these idols were disposed of in the river from a nearby shrine. A common belief is that leaving such statues everywhere will invite misfortunes and therefore, locals are predicting that these statues might have been intentionally abandoned in the river. Rumours are also circulating about the possibility of more such statues hidden in the depths of the Krishna River.
