West Bengal: In the early hours of Sunday, two goods trains collided near the Onda station, resulting in the derailment of several wagons. The incident, which occurred around 4 am, involved one goods train striking the other from behind. Fortunately, no casualties were reported in the collision. However, the driver of one of the goods trains sustained minor injuries. The exact cause of the accident and the circumstances leading to the collision are still under investigation, as officials have not yet determined how the trains collided. Both trains were empty at the time of the incident, according to railway authorities. The collision has disrupted train services in the Adra division, impacting the movement of goods and passengers. This incident follows a tragic triple train collision in Odisha a month ago, where the Coromandel Express and two other trains were involved, resulting in a significant loss of life.
