Bihar: A horrifying incident unfolded at Khalsa Ghat in the Bidupur police station area when a 10-year-old child, identified as Ankit Kumar, fell victim to a crocodile attack while fetching water from the banks of the River Ganges. Tragically, Ankit, the son of Dharmendra Das from Gokulpur village, succumbed to his injuries, leaving the community devastated. The fateful incident occurred as Dharmendra Das and his family visited Khalsa Ghat to perform a ritualistic worship ceremony for their newly acquired bike. As preparations were underway, young Ankit ventured towards the river to fetch water. In an unfortunate turn of events, an aggressive crocodile lay in wait, launching a swift attack on the unsuspecting child. The commotion drew the attention of nearby villagers, who rushed to the scene. Responding promptly, the gathered crowd collaborated to ensnare the crocodile using a net.
