India is preparing for the grand inauguration of its new Parliament building, 'Sansad Bhawan,' on May 28, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi leading the event. With a sprawling built-up area of approximately 65,000 square meters, the new Parliament building stands alongside its predecessor. Its unique triangular design has been meticulously crafted to ensure optimal utilization of space, providing a modern and efficient environment for legislative proceedings. Notable features of the new Parliament building include an expanded Lok Sabha floor, three times larger than before, accommodating 888 seats. This spacious hall draws inspiration from the national bird, the peacock.
