Tirumala: A bus carrying devotees from Tirumala to Tirupati overturned on the Tirumala Ghat road on Wednesday, resulting in a harrowing accident. The incident occurred when the electric bus, en route from Tirumala, collided with the divider at the 29th and 30th turns of the first ghat road. Eyewitnesses reported that the bus lost control while navigating the treacherous bends, leading to the unfortunate rollover. Preliminary estimates suggest that approximately 35 individuals were on board the bus at the time of the incident. The SPF personnel who were on the spot indulged in the rescue operation and immediately shifted the injured to the nearby hospitals. It is suspected that overspeed is the reason behind the accident.
