Tirupati: In a shocking incident aboard the Tirupati-Guntur Express, a gang of thieves unleashed chaos and terror on passengers during a midnight robbery. The train, originally scheduled to depart from Tirupati at 7:30 pm, was delayed by an hour, paving the way for the criminals to carry out their nefarious activities. The heist took place after the train passed Kamalapuram railway station in the Kadapa district and made an unexpected stop near a cement factory around 11:30 pm. Seizing this opportunity, approximately 20 to 25 assailants swiftly broke into bogies from S1 to S6, targeting passengers near the windows. Female passengers became the primary victims of the thieves' greed, as they ruthlessly snatched their valuable gold ornaments and made a hasty escape. Despite some courageous passengers attempting to resist, they were met with brutal attacks by criminals. Reports indicate that the miscreants specifically targeted four women in the S3 bogie but were thwarted by the resistance of three of them.
