Tensions flared within the YSRCP ranks in Srikakulam district's Pathapatnam constituency's Kotturu Mandal, as a dispute emerged between YSRCP vice-president Thulasi Varaprasad and YSRCP MLA Reddy Shanti. On Wednesday, Varaprasad spearheaded a protest against Reddy Shanti, accusing MLA of mistreating party leaders and workers since assuming office as an MLA. Varaprasad, while expressing his grievances, claimed that the harassment by MLA Reddy Shanti has caused discontent among party members. Additionally, he emphasized that if the party decides to nominate Reddy Shanti once again, they would actively oppose such a decision. In a bid to amplify their dissent, Thulasi Varaprasad led a protest rally against the MLA in Kotturu.
