The Telangana Exhibitors' Association has appealed to top heroes of Telugu cinema to avoid collaborating with director Puri Jagannadh after the failure of Vijay Deverakonda's film 'Liger,' directed by Puri. The exhibitors suffered a significant loss of around Rs 9 crore. In protest, the Liger Victims Association, formed by the exhibitors, went on an indefinite hunger strike at the Film Chamber in Hyderabad, seeking redress for their financial losses. They hold Puri Jagannadh accountable for the film's disappointing performance and have called on influential industry figures to support their cause. Puri had previously promised to compensate the exhibitors within six months, but they claim he failed to fulfill his commitment. The Telugu Film Chamber has taken up the exhibitors' concerns with producer Charmme, associated with Puri Jagannadh's production company. Charmme has assured the film chamber via email that she is aware of the situation and is working diligently to provide support and assistance to the affected exhibitors.
