Tirumala: Former Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, NV Ramana participated in the Sundara Tirumala-Suddha Tirumala program at Alipiri on Saturday morning. In his address, NV Ramana emphasized the importance of contributing to the beauty of Tirumala through voluntary service. He recounted how, in 2008, he had asked the then JEO, Dharma Reddy, to provide opportunities for judges to engage in voluntary service at the holy site. NV Ramana further urged every devotee to consider it their duty to uphold the sanctity of Tirumala. Participating in the Sundara Tirumala-Suddha Tirumala program, he noted, was a blessing from God. The Saptagiru area, where many deities have wandered, has great sanctity, he added. NV Ramana stressed that every devotee who comes to Tirumala should keep the area neat. Devotees have been urged to dispose of plastic and other waste only in designated areas. They have also been asked to help preserve the environment and create a pleasant atmosphere in Tirumala.
