Karnataka: In Karnataka, the Congress has taken the lead with 114 Assembly seats, as per the latest trends announced by the Election Commission of India on Saturday. The party is just one seat ahead of the required majority of 113, with a vote share of 43.2%. Meanwhile, the BJP's vote share stands at 36%. Reacting to the news, Congress leader Pawan Khera criticized the BJP's negative campaign, particularly that of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and claimed that the election was centered around him. Khera stated that every household in Karnataka was discussing their five promises and the people have supported their campaigns. He also called out the BJP's attempt to equate Lord Hanuman with Bajrang Dal, which he claimed was an insult to his God. Khera expressed confidence that the Congress would form the government on its own with a clear mandate in the state.
