A 49-year-old man in Khammam, India, Rayala Satheesh Babu, has taken the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) alongside his 17-year-old daughter, R Joshika Swapnika. NEET is a requirement for admission to MBBS, BDS, and Ayush courses and is administered by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Satheesh Babu, who aspired to become a doctor, is the director of a coaching facility for competitive exams in the city. The National Medical Commission (NMC) removed the age requirement for NEET eligibility last year, enabling Satheesh Babu to pursue his ambition. He completed his B Tech degree in 1997 but remained determined to study medicine. With special permission from the Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education, he appeared for zoology and botany topics required for the NEET exam. In an interview, Satheesh Babu expressed confidence in passing the exams and completing the NEET.
