On Sunday, during his Yuva Galam Padayatra, TDP National General Secretary Nara Lokesh issued a selfie challenge to Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and his government over the issue of liquor prohibition. Lokesh took a selfie in front of a liquor shop in Prakash Nagar, Kurnool, to draw attention to the alleged sale of dangerous alcohol. In his statement, Nara Lokesh specifically referred to a wine shop, known as "J-syndicate," which he claims is part of a network of shops manufacturing and selling liquor associated with Jagan's gang. He alleged that this shop and others like it are selling dangerous alcohol, putting people's lives at risk. Nara Lokesh also brought up previous reports that exposed certain J brand liquors containing toxic chemicals, which could potentially be lethal to consumers. He questioned Chief Minister Jagan on why he has not addressed the promise of liquor prohibition and the ongoing issue of hazardous alcohol being sold in the state.
