Former MP Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy has organized a siege of the Khammam collectorate, urging the state government to provide immediate relief to farmers who have suffered losses due to untimely rains and hailstorms. Joined by his followers, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy submitted a representation to the Khammam Collectorate, expressing his dissatisfaction with Chief Minister K Chandra Sekhar Rao's response to the farmers' concerns over damaged harvests caused by sudden rainfall. During a press conference, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy criticized CM KCR for not extending government aid to the affected farmers. He demanded compensation of Rs 30,000 for each farmer impacted by the weather-related losses. Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy pledged his support for the farmers, promising to stand with them not only in the combined Khammam district but also across the state wherever they face difficulties.
