Karunapuram, a village in the Dharmasagar mandal of Hanumakonda district, is set to witness the opening of the largest church in Asia and the third-largest in the world. The Christ Jyoti prayer hall, built on an 11-acre plot, can accommodate over 35,000 people at a time and has been designed to be aesthetically appealing. The inauguration of the prayer hall is scheduled for Thursday. According to the organizers, the construction of the church was done in accordance with biblical principles. The foundation of the prayer hall contains clay, diamonds, and stones that were brought from Jerusalem. Additionally, the aluminum dome on the top of the church was imported from the United States.
