Bengaluru: A woman in Bengaluru jumped off a moving Rapido bike to escape from a molestation attempt by the rider on April 21. The entire incident was recorded on the CCTV cameras installed in the locale. According to the sources, the incident occurred when the woman had booked the bike to reach her friend's place in Indiranagar. It is said that the rider took her mobile phone on the pretext of getting OTP and sexually harassing her while driving. He then changed the route towards Doddaballapur Road instead of Indiranagar, and when questioned, he started to speed. The woman jumped off the vehicle near BMS College in Nagenahalli near Yelahanka, sustaining injuries to her hands and legs. The accused fled the scene after the security staff at the college gate rushed to help her. After receiving the complaint, the police arrested the accused, Deepak Rao, who was allegedly drunk during the incident and sent him to judicial custody.
