Tensions flared up in Erragondapalem, Prakasam district, as TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu arrived for a visit that turned violent. Ahead of his arrival, YSRCP leaders staged a protest with placards and black flags, demanding that Chandrababu apologize for alleged derogatory remarks made against Dalits by TDP national General Secretary Nara Lokesh in the past. Municipal Administration Minister Adimulapu Suresh led the protest and warned that Chandrababu would not be allowed to enter Erragondapalem without offering an apology. The situation turned volatile as YSRCP activists created a ruckus, leading to the NSG being alerted and additional security personnel being deployed for Chandrababu Naidu's safety. The police took measures to prevent any untoward incidents and special forces were deployed. Chandrababu went ahead with his visit, including a roadshow and a public meeting under the banner of 'Idem Karma'. However, the YSRCP activists continued their protests, demanding an apology from Chandrababu Naidu.
