A farmer hailing from Nijbari in Darjeeling, West Bengal is making headlines for his unique and ambitious project. Mintu Roy, who grew up with a fascination for the Titanic, is now building his own house to look like the iconic ship. This childhood dream was sparked when Mintu, then a class 9 student, visited a Durga Puja pandal in Kolkata's Howrah area that was built in the shape of the Titanic. The experience made such a lasting impression on him that he was determined to replicate the design for his own home. To make his dream a reality, Mintu saved money for years and even went as far as undergoing masonry training in Nepal to save on construction costs.
