Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was questioned by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for around nine hours in relation to the liquor policy case. The CBI has not yet issued any further summons to Kejriwal. The case allegedly involves corruption in framing policies to benefit the liquor lobby. Kejriwal's ex-deputy Manish Sisodia, who held the excise portfolio, was arrested in the same case last month. Kejriwal called the case fake and a lie and said that honesty is their ideology. Kejriwal told reporters that he believes the accusations are an attempt to discredit both himself and his party's successful developmental work. He also suggested that the reason behind the accusations is that his party has become a national entity, which has made him and his party more vulnerable to attacks.
