Mumbai Police have arrested a 16-year-old boy for allegedly threatening to kill Bollywood superstar Salman Khan. The incident took place on Monday night when the teenager called the Mumbai Police control room and made the death threat before the 30th of the month. After tracing the phone call with the help of technology, the police found out that it originated from Shahapur, located 70 km from Mumbai in the Thane district. A special police team was dispatched to Shahapur, where they apprehended the teenager who made the threatening call. The police have disclosed that the boy hails from Rajasthan and an investigation into the matter is underway. This is not the first time Salman has received such threats. On March 18, he received threats via email from gangster Lawrence Bishnoi's gang. Salman's team has confirmed that they have lodged a complaint with the Bandra police in Mumbai regarding this incident. Overall, the Mumbai Police are taking the matter seriously.
