Siddipet: Finance Minister T Harish Rao, demonstrated his support for the welfare of auto-rickshaw drivers in the area by attending a meeting of the Siddipet Auto Credit Cooperative Society. In a show of solidarity, he even drove an auto while dressed in a driver's uniform. A video of Minister Harish Rao driving the auto has since gone viral on the internet. During the meeting, Harish Rao praised the drivers for their invaluable service and referred to them as the brand ambassadors of Siddipet. He acknowledged the drivers' dedication to ensuring the safe transportation of tourists and noted how they often provide brief town tours to passengers before dropping them off, thereby showcasing the town's development. Additionally, the Minister highlighted instances where drivers have acted as first responders, transporting injured passengers to hospitals before ambulance services arrived.
