On Wednesday, the Union Home Minister Amit Shah hosted a grand dinner for the recipients of Padma awards who were honored by President Droupadi Murmu at the investiture ceremony. During the event, the minister had the opportunity to interact with the awardees and congratulate them personally. This year, a total of 106 Padma awards were approved by the President, which included three duo cases where two individuals were recognized as one. The announcement was made on the eve of Republic Day, and the awards were presented at the investiture ceremony. Out of the 106 awardees, 53 were honored at the ceremony, which included three Padma Vibhushan, five Padma Bhushan, and 45 Padma Shri recipients. The event was a momentous occasion, and the awardees were recognized for their significant contributions in their respective fields.
