KTR's Tweet to Amit Shah's Accusations on Telangana's September 17 Celebrations

The recent accusations made by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) against the Telangana Government for not celebrating September 17 as Liberation Day have been countered by the ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS). In fact, the State Government has officially recognized this day as National Integration Day, a fact that the BJP seems to have overlooked. The Union Home Minister Amit Shah went so far as to accuse the State Government of forgetting the sacrifices made by those who fought against the Nizam's rule.

However, BRS working president and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao, popularly known as KTR was quick to respond, sharing news clippings to refute Amit Shah's false statements. It is unfortunate that a Union Home Minister would make such a blatant misrepresentation, which is unbecoming of his stature. The Telangana Government has always celebrated September 17 with due reverence and respect, as it marks a significant moment in our country's history.
