Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD)! The trust board has approved the highest budget estimates in history, ringing in at a staggering Rs 4,411.68 crore for the financial year 2023-24. This is a remarkable milestone for TTD, which has been serving devotees since its inception in 1933. Chairman YV Subba Reddy attributes the surge in revenue to the post-Covid pandemic era. According to him, the Hundi collections have skyrocketed to an unprecedented Rs 1,500 crore in 2022-23, surpassing the pre-pandemic figure of Rs 1,200 crore. The TTD revenue has also been positively impacted by the virtual sevas during the Covid period, as well as the interests on bank deposits post-Covid.
