Ageless Love: Rupert Murdoch Announces Fifth Marriage at 92
Renowned media mogul Rupert Murdoch has shared news of his engagement to his beloved partner Ann Lesley Smith, a former police chaplain. The 92-year-old billionaire and his 66-year-old fiancée first crossed paths at an event held at his Californian vineyard in September, and sparks flew from there. In an interview with his own publication, the New York Post, Mr Murdoch confessed, "I dreaded falling in love - but I knew this would be my last. It better be. I'm happy." This will be Murdoch's fifth trip down the aisle, following his split with fourth wife Jerry Hall last year.
Lesley Smith, whose late husband was the accomplished country singer and TV executive Chester Smith, echoed Mr Murdoch's sentiment, sharing with the New York Post, "For us both it's a gift from God. We met last September."
With six children from his previous marriages, Murdoch is excited about spending the second half of his life with Smith. According to the reports, the couple will tie the knot in late summer.
