TDP's senior leader, K Pattabhi Ram, has voiced his support for the party's National General Secretary, Nara Lokesh, over the concerns he has raised against the YSRCP government. During a debate program with TV5 Sambha Siva Rao, the official spokesperson of TDP stated that he completely agrees with Lokesh's repeated statements regarding the need to topple the YS Jagan government. Pattabhi Ram accused the government of turning a blind eye to the rampant use of marijuana in the state, especially among young students and post-graduates, resulting in many of them being jailed in Rajahmundry Central Jail. He shared his experience of meeting Srinu, an accused in the Kodi Kathi case, during his stay at the jail, who he alleged had become a victim of the state government's alleged harassment.
