Dr. Mazharuddin Ali Khan, a well-known orthopaedic surgeon in Hyderabad, has reportedly died by suicide at his residence in Banjara Hills on Monday. He was rushed to Apollo Hospital in Jubilee Hills but was declared dead on arrival. Khan was 60 years old and the Superintendent of Owaisi Hospital. He was also the father-in-law of AIMIM President and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi's second daughter. According to Deputy Commissioner of Police Joel Davis, Khan apparently shot himself due to property and family disputes. The doctor had a gunshot wound on the right side of his head, and police have shifted the body for autopsy. Investigations are ongoing to verify if Khan used his licensed gun for the extreme step.
