K. Chandrasekhar Rao, the chief minister of Telangana, denounced the Central Bureau of Investigation's (CBI) decision to detain Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia in connection with the Delhi liquor policy scandal on Monday. The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) president and the Chief Minister KCR claimed in a statement that the detention serves only to distract people from the connection between industrialist Gautam Adani and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. K. T. Rama Rao, the working president of BRS, had described Sisodia's detention as undemocratic on Sunday and claimed that the BJP treats the opposition with viciousness.
