In NTR district of Andhra Pradesh, a Garuda RTC bus overturned near Chillakallu toll plaza after hitting a divider. The incident occurred when the bus was reportedly speeding and the lights of the bus suddenly stopped working, causing the driver to apply the brakes. The bus lost control and overturned, leaving at least 12 passengers injured severely. The injured were promptly taken to Jaggayyapet Government Hospital by the local police, with two persons being in critical condition. At the time of the accident, the bus had a total of 25 passengers on board, and those who were unharmed were detained by the police before being transported to Hyderabad in another bus. The poor road conditions, including the presence of potholes, are believed to have contributed to the accident, along with the inadequate street lighting.
