The burning of a Telugu Desam Party (TDP) office in Gannavaram, Andhra Pradesh has caused a political uproar in the state. Members of the ruling YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) allegedly vandalized the TDP office, accusing the party of spreading misinformation about MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi on social media. In response to the incident, Vijayawada TDP leader Pattabhi was taken into police custody on charges of inciting violence. According to reports, Pattabhi was arrested at night but was not brought to the Gannavaram police station until noon the following day. Later in the afternoon, he was produced in a local court. The Superintendent of Police, Joshua, has claimed that Pattabhi's provocative remarks were responsible for the violence that occurred the day before. During the transfer from the police station to the court, Pattabhi reportedly showed injuries on his body to the media from inside the police van and also while walking.
