The Mumbai court heard from social media influencer Sapna Gill, who was arrested in relation to the alleged attack on cricketer Prithvi Shaw's car. Gill denied knowing Shaw and stated that she had never asked for a selfie with him, according to some news agencies. Gill was produced before the Andheri court and has been sent to police custody until February 20. During the hearing, Gill's lawyer referred to media reports that claimed Shaw had a habit of drinking and had been banned by the BCCI. The lawyer also disputed claims that Gill had asked for Rs 50,000 to end the case, stating that there was no proof of this. Gill claimed that her friend had asked for the selfie and that she was not aware that Shaw was a cricketer. She added that Shaw was with eight friends while she and her friend were only two, and that the police had asked them to end the matter.
