CBI summons Manish Sisodia in Delhi Liquor scam
Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has summoned Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia to join the investigation into the excise policy scam case. He has been asked to appear at the CBI headquarters in Delhi on Sunday. Responding to the summons, Sisodia alleged that the CBI is trying to hamper the ongoing development in Delhi. He added that despite the CBI's raids on his home and bank locker, they did not find anything.
On February 8, the CBI had arrested Butchibabu Gorantla, the former Chartered Accountant of BRS leader K. Kavitha, daughter of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. The CBI has already filed a charge sheet in the case and is reportedly working on a supplementary charge sheet.
This case has been making headlines for several months now, and with the latest development, it remains to be seen how the investigation unfolds.
