Congress MLA of Sangareddy Jayaprakash Reddy, popularly known as Jaggareddy, participated in the enthusiastic celebrations of the 284th birthday of Sant Sevalal Maharaj Jayanti in Sangareddy. At the event, he joined a large rally and danced with Banjara women, lifting their spirits with his presence. He also sent greetings to the Lambada community on this occasion. The Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao recognized Sant Sevalal Maharaj Jayanti, which is observed annually on February 15. The day holds great significance for the Banjara community, of which Sant Sevalal was a member. During the Sepoy Mutiny, the Banjara community supported the sepoys in their struggle against British oppression. Sant Sevalal, a social reformer, dedicated his life to promoting the interests of the Banjara people throughout the country. He lived a simple and austere life, preferring to stay alone and was known to be a strict vegetarian.
