Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao announced in the state assembly that the government will issue pattas for 11.5 acres of podu land, which will be distributed in late February or early March. The pattas will only be given to the beneficiaries after Village Committees, ZPTCs, sarpanches, and Tribal leaders provide a written assurance that there will be no further encroachment of forest lands, and the recipients are responsible for protecting the forest land. In addition, the Chief Minister stated that landless tribals and those without livelihood opportunities will be given Girijan Bandhu, similar to Dalit Bandhu. The surveys for podu lands have been completed, and the data is ready. The Telangana government will also provide Rythu Bandhu and power connections to the lands, the Chief Minister said. "We are dedicated to the welfare of tribal and this is the last time pattas will be distributed. This is not being done for political gain," said Chandrashekar Rao. He also
