Minister KTR aims to develop Vemulawada like Yadadri
Vemulawada: Industries Minister KT Rama Rao has announced that Vemulawada, popularly known as Dakshin Kashi, will be developed to mirror the Yadadri Sri Lakshmi Narasimhaswamy temple. During a review meeting with officials and BRS MLA Ramesh Babu on Tuesday, the Minister discussed the preparations for the upcoming Mahasivaratri celebrations at the Sri Raja Rajeshwara Swamy temple in Vemulawada.
Expecting a large turnout of devotees from across the state and neighboring states, the Minister instructed the officials to make comprehensive arrangements to ensure the comfort of visitors to the temple. He emphasized the importance of proper sanitation and suggested that ambulances and fire services be arranged in advance. The Minister assured that the state government will provide additional funds for the celebration.
To make the cultural programs during the festival as grand as in previous years, the Minister called for proper coordination with the State Cultural department. He also directed the officials to provide a detailed report on the development of a mini stadium and a four-lane road in Vemulawada, as well as the construction of the second ghat road at Nampally hillock.
The Minister expressed his hope that Sircilla and Vemulawada will become top tourist destinations in the state and stressed the need for their development. He also suggested that the Vemulawada temple's tank bund be strengthened and developed in the style of Warangal.
