DMK MLAs Cycle to the Assembly in School Uniforms: A Protest for Students' Needs
Six Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) MLAs in Puducherry made a bold statement during the third session of the 15th Puducherry Legislative Assembly on Friday. The MLAs, led by Leader of Opposition R Siva, arrived at the Assembly wearing government school uniforms to protest against the government's failure to distribute free uniforms to students.
Making their point clear, the MLAs rode their bicycles to the Assembly, donning school uniforms complete with ID cards and carrying school bags over their shoulders. Siva spoke to the media later, accusing the government of neglecting the students' needs by not providing them with essential items such as cycles, uniforms, and laptops for the past two years.
