Massive fire breaks out at Amara Raja Battery Factory in Chittoor

Chittoor: A massive fire broke out at the Amara Raja Battery factory in Yadamari Mandal of Chittoor district, Andhra Pradesh, on Monday evening, causing alarm but no reported casualties. According to the sources, all 250 workers present at the plant were safely evacuated.

Four fire tenders were deployed to put out the blaze, as thick smoke and flames were observed coming from the factory. The cause of the fire is believed to be a short circuit. It is said that a huge property loss was reported in the incident. The police and revenue officers have arrived on the scene to start an investigation.
