Hyderabad: Telangana's Finance Minister, T Harish Rao, has requested Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman to take action for the early release of ₹495.2 crore of Telangana's share of Centrally-Sponsored Schemes (CSS) for the year 2014-15. The funds were mistakenly credited to Andhra Pradesh. In his letter, Minister Harish Rao stated that the Centre's share of CSS implemented in Telangana in the first year of its formation, 2014-15, had been mistakenly released to Andhra Pradesh, despite the funds being apportioned based on the population ratio between the two states. The grants, which were due to Telangana, totalled ₹495.20 crore.
