According to Telangana Minister Harish Rao, the state of Andhra Pradesh has not seen the same level of development as Telangana. During his meeting in the Palair and Sathupalli Assembly constituencies in Khammam on Friday, Rao announced that following the transformation of the TRS party into BRS, the party will focus on national politics in the line of the progress of Telangana. He compared the state of Andhra Pradesh to Telangana, claiming that the social welfare programs and infrastructure developments in Telangana are superior to those in Andhra Pradesh. He also claimed that there is a power shortage and insufficient access to drinking water for farmers in Andhra Pradesh. The Minister emphasized that the Khammam public meeting is crucial for the BRS party and will bring about a significant change in national politics.
