A 26-year-old man was arrested in Mumbai for stealing money from an ATM. Pawan Kumar Paswan had tampered with the cash dispensing slot of the ATM by applying adhesive and sunmica strips, which prevented the machine from dispensing cash. Paswan would then take advantage of the malfunctioning ATM by grabbing the cash after the customer leave the kiosk. However, his plan was foiled when a vigilant marshal caught him in the act at an SBI ATM on Daftary Road in Malad East. The police suspect that Paswan may have defrauded multiple bank clients and targeted additional ATMs.
